Syrian TV shows pictures of weapons confiscated in Damascus

Demonstrations calling for toppling the Syrian regime and President Bashar Assad continued in a number of Syrian cities in spite of the broad crackdown of the security forces that are taking intensified measures in Homs and Idlib.  

Pictures broadcasted by opposition websites clearly show cars and building set ablaze on Monday night during military operations carried out by security forces in Homs.

Amnesty International issued a report saying that Syrian authorities turned hospitals into places of fear and terror using them as a tool to oppress the opposition. The report added that injured people and workers in seven hospitals were targeted in Homs, Banyas and Talkalakh.

The Syrian television broadcasted pictures of weapons and explosives confiscated from a van in Khodar in Damascus, adding that two explosive devices were dismantled in Daraa. The channel also displayed pictures of six Syrian army and security members who were killed by armed terrorist groups in Daraa, Homs, Hama and Idlib.

In a bid to end the Syrian crisis, the Arab ministerial committee tasked with communicating with the Syrian authorities will meet in Doha before heading to Damascus on Wednesday morning.
