REPORT: James Foley’s killing threatens destiny of abducted journalists in Syria
The Syrian regime detains around 500 journalists, and since the outbreak of the Syrian war, the Committee to Protect Journalists has documented the killing of 60 journalists, while around 80 were reported kidnapped by armed Islamist organizations, including 20 Syrian and foreign journalists whose destiny remains unclear.
