REPORT: Ministry of Finance launches mass employee transfers at Lebanese Customs

The head of Lebanese Customs ordered on Tuesday mass employee transfers, in a move that marks the first relocation operation of its kind.

The administrative order will see about 800 officers and customs staff being transferred to different posts, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance.

The move serves to “improve the performance” of the Customs Department in an attempt to boost the productivity of its different branches.
