Abou Charaf: A number of doctors suspended work due to gasoline shortage-[REPORT]
Head of Doctors Syndicate Charaf Abou Charaf said on Monday that a number of doctors were forced to suspend their work due to the lack of gasoline.

“Despite all efforts that were deployed by the syndicate to provide gasoline for doctors and nurses, results remain shy while the suffering is great,” he added.

Abou Charaf noted that such a suspension will lead to "a catastrophic health crisis, especially for emergency and heart diseases patients, surgeries and traffic accidents."

He called on all those responsible to assume their responsibilities by giving the health staff priority and opening a special lane for them at all filling stations.

“Enough of emigration and humiliation, let's work to motivate them to stay in Lebanon,” he concluded by saying in reference to Lebanon’s health staff as hundreds of healthcare professionals are leaving the crisis-hit country amid layoffs and pay cuts.
