Public Works Minister Hamieh: Results of my France trip starting to show-[VIDEO]
French Minister Delegate for Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari arrived in the Rafic Hariri International Airport on Thursday on an official visit.

He was welcomed at the airport’s Salon of Honor by his Lebanese counterpart Public Works Minister Ali Hamieh, France Ambassador to Lebanon Anne Grillo, Head of Economic Affairs department at the French Embassy François De Ricolfis and Civil Aviation Director General Fadi Al-Hassan.

Djebbari thanked Hamieh for the invitation, explaining that “the visit is to continue the talks that Hamieh started during his visit to France, especially when it comes to the transport sector.”

He also highlighted his country’s constant support for Lebanon, reiterating that “France did and will always stand with Lebanon,” voicing support to Hamieh’s efforts in advancing the state alongside the Lebanese government.

As for Hamieh, he said that “France has proved, once again through its actions and words, support for Lebanon and the results of his trip to France are starting to show.”

He also explained how France is helping through donating buses and proposing to help in placing a legal framework to organize the transportation partnership between the private and the public sectors.

“Activating the Beirut port will benefit the Lebanese people,” he said.

“Today, a signature will take place between the management and investment committee of the Beirut Port and CMA CGM, which will manage, operate, and maintain the container terminal that serves to increase revenues for the Lebanese state; this falls within the framework of the ministry's policy in activating Lebanese facilities,” Hamieh concluded by saying.
