REPORT: Lebanon to receive on Sunday 3 bodies of the Lebanese killed in Talkalakh

On Sunday morning, Lebanon will be receiving the first batch of the Lebanese nationals who died in Syria's Talkalakh.                                     

The National News Agency (NNA) said that the Foreign Affairs Minister got informed from Syrian authorities that only 3 the bodies will be delivered .                               

In this framework, and after a visit to Syria that lasted for few hours, major General Abbas Ibrahim came back to Lebanon bringing with him necessary information related to the aforementioned file.                            

In addition to this, Major General Ibrahim will be briefing Premiere Mikati on the information he has and will get back to Syria to set appropriate mechanisms.                                                      

For his part, spokesman of the families of the Lebanese nationals who died in Syria's Talkalakh Mohammed Ibrahim said to LBCI that they are giving the government a 2 day delay to return the bodies, and vowed to block Tripoli's roads as of Monday if it failed to meet their demand.                                                                                                                    

On the 30th of November 2012, reports emerged saying that a number of Lebanese nationals died in a Syrian ambush in the bordering town of Talkalakh.

                                                      
At least 14 Lebanese and Palestinian gunmen from north Lebanon were reportedly killed, with three wounded and detained in the ambush. Syrian state television aired graphic video of the dead men, riddled with gunshot wounds and lying in the grass.
