REPORT: Procedure adopted to study appeal to law of parliament mandate extension

The constitutional council received on Saturday the appeal of President Michel Sleiman to the law pertaining to the extension of the Parliament mandate, and is expected to receive, in the few upcoming hours, another appeal presented by the Free Patriotic Movement. Upon the receipt of the appeals, the council will hold a preliminary meeting, during which the steps to be followed for the discussion of both appeals will be placed.                   

In this report, the expert on constitutional law Amin Saliba will explain in a statement to LBCI, the procedure adopted in order to discuss the appeals and the voting process after which the final decision will be issued.
