Good Samaritan Finds Bag Full Of Cash On Highway, Returns It Police

A man stopped to pull a large orange bag out of the highway, fearing that he would cause a traffic hazard, and to his surprise the bag was full of cash.

According to the Deseret News, Utah, the 75-pound bag had fallen out of a truck driving in front of Dan Kennedy.

Kennedy explained that the bag was approximately 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide, filled with smaller bags packed with currency including $50 and $100 bills, estimating that each of the small bags contained $22,000.

The man tried but failed to chase down the Brink's armored truck that had lost the bag. He then drove the money to his work parking lot and called the police.

Brink's employees told police they did not notice the back latch opening or the bag falling out, adding that it might have happened after driving over a bad bump on the highway.

Kennedy said he hasn't heard anything about a reward for his good deed, but he was still excited by the unusual discovery.
