Amnesty International: Iran suppresses protests 'brutally'
The Amnesty International organization announced on Friday that Iran is deliberately using lethal means to suppress the protests that erupted after the death of Mahsa Amini, emphasizing that more people could be killed or detained in the absence of international action.

The warning came as another non-governmental organization, "Iran Human Rights" based in Oslo, announced that 83 people were killed during two weeks of protests over the death of an Iranian young woman identified as Mahsa Amini (22 years old), after her arrest by the morality police.

"The Iranian authorities have mobilized their repressive law enforcement apparatus to brutally quell protests across the country, in an attempt to crush any challenge to their authority," Amnesty said in a statement.
