ISF warns against celebratory gunfire on New Year's Eve
The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces (ISF) issued a statement regarding the severe and deadly effects of celebratory gunfire, banning it from the vicinity of Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport to avoid threatening the safety of civil aviation and passengers as in all Lebanese regions.  

To avoid disasters, ISF demanded to stop this "uncivilized and backward scourge" on New Year's Eve, adding this act constitutes a threat to the security of society and leads to the killing and harming of many innocent people.  

ISF also called on citizens to report any violation by calling their operations rooms on 112, sending a complaint on their website, or a private message through their social media sites, provided they are accompanied by proof (photo or video). Thus, these complaints will be dealt with in strict confidentiality.
