Lebanon’s Hanna Chalhoub becomes partner at Gibson Dunn

Lebanon’s Hanna Chalhoub was promoted, along with 36 other lawyers, as a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, a leading global law firm, as of January 2023.

Hanna is a distinguished lawyer. He has practiced out of Gibson Dunn’s New York office for 18 months and served as a member of the firm’s Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions practice groups.

Chalhoub advises institutional investors, asset managers, and corporations on complex cross-border transactions, namely acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and co-investment deals and structures, and general corporate matters.

He received his law degree, with honors, from Saint-Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut and a professional Master in Litigation, Arbitration, and Alternative Dispute Resolution, with benefits, from the French section of the Lebanese University (LU).

In 2008, he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship. He received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law, where he received the Munger Prize for Scholars in International and Business Law.

Hanna Chalhoub is also a member of the Beirut Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the State of New York.

Despite being unable to promote a sense of justice in their home country, Lebanese lawyers are known for shining abroad with their challenging work and dedication.
