News host protests military action against Syria, raises “bloody hand” live on TV

A Fox News host has expressed his rejection to a military action against Syria by raising his hand covered with “blood” live on television.

Eric Bolling, a financial analyst and co-host on Fox’s The Five current affairs discussion panel show, disrupted the live debate and said: “I have to do this.”

Then he held up his hand smeared with a red liquid, warning the American public by saying that “they should be very careful before shedding any more blood.”

Mr Bolling had been criticizing President Barack Obama for talks over getting the US involved in the Syrian conflict.

“There is no reason to shed blood – ours or theirs – for a civil war between two radical Muslim groups who frankly hate us.

This is not our war people, we need to stay out of the Middle East,” he stressed. After shocking the audience and his fellow panel members with his protest, he explained that he had ketchup on his hand.
