Palestinians and Israeli police clash at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa

Police stated on Sunday that Palestinians and Israeli police clashed at the flashpoint Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem's Old City.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld reported that violence erupted when police opened one of the walled compound's gates to non-Muslim visitors.

The spokesman told Agence France Presse (AFP) that "stones and a number of Molotov cocktails were thrown at police."

He added that police members responded by using stun grenades and entered the Temple Mount area.

In this regard, a police statement said a woman was arrested and two policemen were slightly injured.
