French Defense Minister arrives in Kabul, spends New Year's Eve with French troops

French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian arrived on Monday in Kabul for a 2-day visit where he will check on the French forces in Afghanistan and hold talks with senior officials.

In this context, Minister Le Drian will spend New Year's Eve with the French troops in the Warehouse Camp in Kabul.

Le Drain will also hold talks on Monday with the Afghan President Hamid Karzai as well as his counterpart Bismillah Khan Mohammadi.

He will also meet with the commander of the NATO International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, General John Allen.
