Israel to cut defense spending

Israeli Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz announced that the budget of the Israeli cabinet for 2013 will include significant cuts in defense spending.

Steinitz stressed that this task will not be easy but the Israeli cabinet succeeded in achieving it in the past.

It is worth noting that 20% of the Israeli budget is allocated for defense purposes.
