Russia says no to repeat of “Libyan tragedy” in Syria

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday that his country will not allow any “tragedy” similar to that of the Libyan’s to occur in Syria.

In the framework of the first strategic dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council, Lavrov said “If it depends on us, I don't think we will allow anything of that sort to be repeated”, confirming that Russia is not protecting any regime.
