Israel to reopen two crossings into Gaza Strip

Military officials said on Wednesday that Israel will reopen two crossings into the Gaza Strip, following a two day calm after a rocket hit Israel early Monday.

According to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, the Erez crossing in the northern Gaza Strip, used by travelers, and Kerem Shalom cargo crossing in the south of the territory are expected to resume business on Wednesday.

The two transfer points were closed on Monday as part of Israel’s response to the rocket fire.

Six rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza early on Monday, four landed in open areas while two were shot down by the Iron Dome anti-missile system. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
