Assad to Wahhab: We are keen on Lebanon’s stability

The information bureau of the Arab Tawhid Movement said that Syrian President Bashar Assad hosted the head of the movement former minister Wiam Wahhab on Wednesday.

Assad and Wahhan held a 3-hour meeting to discuss the overall situation on the Lebanese and Arab front. Wahhab stressed that president Assad conveyed to him Syria’s keenness on Lebanon’s stability since it influences Syria.

Assad also stressed the need to preserve the Druze sect in the Arab Levant, praising the national role that it has played in the past.

The bureau added that this meeting is not the first of its kind, but it is the first public meeting during the last period.
