EU chief says not in favor of military solution for Iran

European Council President Herman Van Rompuy said on Friday he was not in favor of any military solution for Iran, calling on India to mobilize its influence to persuade Iran to go back to the negotiation table.

Indian PM Manmohan Singh said that the Iranian nuclear crisis can be solved through diplomatic efforts.

India is against western economic sanctions against Iran and seeks to double trade volume and promote trade agreements with Iran.
