Tripoli, Bekaa and Sidon: scenes of anti-Assad demonstrations

Tahrir (liberation) party organized a protest on Friday in support of the Syrian people in Tripoli. The protest kicked from Al Mansouri mosque in Tripoli all the way to Al Nour square where remarks were made to shouw support for the Syrians.

In the Bekaa, Tealbaya and Saadnayel witnessed demonstrations that supported the Syrian people. The protests caused heavy traffic on the main highway where LAF vehicles were deployed.

Amid calls to topple the Syrian regime, an anti-Assad protest was organized in Sidon. The demonstration, which took off from Bilal Bin Rabbah mosque, turned into a rally. Protesters burned both Chinese and Russian flags to express their anger.
