Aoun: I urge voters to sack those refusing to declare account statements

The Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun said that since 1993 all expenditures were not registered, in reference to the controversial $11 billion that caused the parliamentary row.

Aoun accused the other party [March 14] of refusing to provide the government with an account statement.

March 14 MPs withdrew from Thursday’s parliamentary session and negotiations are being currently conducted to resume the session. Speaker Nabih Berri postponed the session until March 5 after lack of quorum.

“We are asking for a detailed account statement and I call on the voters to sack those who refuse to”, Aoun announced.
