Speaker Berri calls for holding parliamentary session to elect new president
Speaker Nabih Berri called Thursday to hold a parliamentary session to elect a new president on Wednesday 12th of August.
 
The parliament has repeatedly failed to elect a new president due to lack of quorum resulting from a boycott by the FPM and Hezbollah MPs.
 
Lebanon has been plunged into a presidential vacuum since President Michel Sleiman's mandate ended on May 25.
