Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed Sunday his party’s keenness on preserving national dialogue between the Lebanese parties, calling for maintaining the cabinet.
He explained that he does not support overthrowing the government, reiterating that the Lebanese people’s interests lie in its survival, “since the only alternative is vacuum and collapse.”
In a speech he delivered during a ceremony held to honor Hajj Mohammad Hassan al-Hajj, Nasrallah rejected any blackmail attempt targeting his party, noting that he welcomes anyone who is willing to engage in dialogue and remain in the cabinet.
Concerning the security plan in the Bekaa region, the Shiite party chief said that he has never provided cover for anyone, pointing out that arresting people and handing them over to the authorities is not among the responsibilities of his party or that of Amal Movement.
On another note, Nasrallah stated that the Resistance has been able to stand in the face of the Takfiri movement for at least four years in various regions.
He also emphasized that Hezbollah will maintain its resilient position against the Zionist entity in the region, reiterating the party’s continuous support for the Palestinian Jihad.
“The Zionist entity will not have a future in the presence of the Axis of Resistance,” he added.
