Family dispute leaves a woman and 5 children injured

A woman and her five sons and daughters were injured on Wednesday when they were attacked by relatives in the Bekaa town of Maqneh.

Ali Shaalan al-Mekdad and Ali Adnan al-Mekdad shot Ramleh Hussein al-Mekdad, the wife of Sheikh Ali al-Mekdad, and her five children in the Bekaa town of Maqneh.

The sons and daughters are identified as follows: Youmna, 21, Hassan, 22, Zeinab, 23, Narjes, 24, and Mohammed, 15.

The six family members were all injured in the legs and were transferred to a nearby hospital to receive the needed medical treatement.

The incident was reportedly attributed to a “family dispute among women.”

The two shooters fled the scene of the shooting to an unknown destination.
