Patriarch Rai: Pope's message on International Peace Day addressed to leaders failing to elect president
Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said on Sunday that Pope Francis's message on the "International Peace Day" was mainly addressed to the political leaders in the country for reaching a level of unconcern regarding the election of a new president.

"Such indifference has hindered the duty of legislations at the Parliament, and the procedural measures at the government," Patriarch Rai said during his Sunday sermon at Bkerke during which he dwelt on the message of Pope Francis on this Day.

Rai started his sermon by noting that he joins prayers with Pope Francis for peace to prevail in the world, mainly in Lebanon and the Middle East countries.
