Ismail Sukariya to LBCI: ministry of health “a castle of corruption”
The head of Lebanon’s national council for health, former MP Ismail Sukariya announced on Saturday that around 200 types of drugs should be recalled from the Lebanese market, adding that the responsibility is placed on the government at the executive level and on the parliament at the supervisory level.

Sukariya confirmed to Nharkom Said TV show that there are “mafias” manipulating the people’s lives, adding that he has been calling for the past 15 years for establishing a central laboratory.

Sukariya added that there are counterfeit medications in Lebanon in addition to those whose expiry date has been manipulated.

In his concluding remarks, Sukariya accused the ministry of health of being a “castle of corruption”, confirming that the minister cannot correct any performance without the cover of a political decision.
