Activists call for a sit-in to be staged tomorrow at Beirut’s Riad al-Solh Square
“We Want Accountability” campaigners denounced on Friday Prime Minister Tammam Salam’s defense of Chinook Urban Mining firm, challenging him to prove that it is registered in Britain in the first place.

In a press conference held at Beirut’s Riad al-Solh Square, the activists said that Agriculture Minister Akram Chehayyeb has failed to find solutions to the alarming waste management crisis, calling for a sit-in to be staged tomorrow at 3 pm in Riad al-Solh Square.

They also called upon the parliament to perform its duties, which consist in holding the political leaders accountable.

On another note, the activists stressed the need to conduct the municipal elections on time.
