REPORT: Government to rely on sanitary landfills as export plan dropped

The government dropped waste export proposal, bringing the issue back to square one.

 

However, discussions are underway now to revive the plan related to the establishment of sanitary landfills, knowing that Agriculture Minister Akram Chehayyeb drew such a plan before, but the government abandoned it in November after municipalities and local officials refused to accommodate more landfilling.
