The Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture denied Friday the spread of the Bird Flu virus across Hasbaya towns, but said it was the Newcastle disease.
The National News Agency reported earlier that Bird Flu virus had struck hard at the poultry in several villages in Hasbaya, killing tens of birds within 24 hours, especially in the towns of Shwayya and Ayn Qana.
Poultry breeders urged officials to take necessary steps to limit this deadly epidemic before it spreads to all birds and the people working closely with them.
