Lebanon’s Labor Ministry recalled employers of its position regarding arbitrary and indiscriminate layoffs of employees, stressing that it will not save any effort in fighting this phenomenon in every means, given the negative impact it leaves on the society and individuals who come mainly from the poor classes.
The ministry pointed out that it will continue to impose tight control over the performance of the domestic workers recruitment agencies, adding that two of these agencies had been recently closed.
In this regard, the ministry said that it has been receiving dozens of complaints from Lebanese employees who had been dismissed without prior warning or justifiable reasons
