REPORT: Army thwarts plots to attack tourist site, crowded residential area -LAF
The Lebanese Armed Forces Command- Directorate of Orientation declared on Thursday that the Lebanese army Intelligence Branch has foiled two high-level security operations planned by the Islamic State group to attack a tourist site and a crowded residential area.

Five people were arrested in links to the plots, including the mastermind behind them, who confessed of carrying out "terror acts against the Lebanese army.

The investigations are still ongoing under the supervision of the concerned judiciary.
