Riachi to LBCI: Consultations over presidential file to intensify after Ramadan
Lebanese Forces media official Melhem Riachi stressed that the consultations will intensify after the holy month of Ramadan in order to reach a breakthrough in the issue of the presidential elections, noting that the relations between LF chief Samir Geagea and head of the Future Movement Saad Hariri is strategic and a need for Lebanon.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Riachi tackled the suicide bombings that targeted the eastern border town of al-Qaa and their repercussions, pointing out that the town’s residents are coordinating with the Lebanese Armed Forces and placed themselves at the disposal of the army.

He also rejected the statement saying that Hezbollah protected Lebanon through its intervention in Syria.

On another note, Riachi admitted that there is a dispute between the Lebanese Forces and Hezbollah over the issue of “illegal arms.”

“We do our job within the framework of legitimacy to protect the republic, not under the principle of self-security,” he stated.
