All the data concerning the oil file in Lebanon intersect at one point: an achievement realized following agreement over five blocks, three in the south and two in the north.
This agreement will not be interpreted by adding it to the agenda of the cabinet sessions next week, but by moving forward with it during a meeting expected to be held by the concerned ministerial committee during the upcoming week.
Sources said that the decision to activate the oil file came from abroad during a visit made by US official Amos Hochstein, adding that there’s a US-Russian agreement to facilitate the exploration for gas in the south’s three blocks.
