ISF thwarts attempt to smuggle 7 kilos of heroin into Russia

The ISF inspection services for the security of the Rafik Hariri International Airport thwarted on Saturday an attempt to smuggle 7 kilos and 850 grams of heroin into Russia.

Ali al-Hamad, a Syrian national, drew suspicion from the inspection personnel who, while searching his double-bottom suitcase, found the aforementioned amount of heroin.

Following preliminary interrogations, the smuggler was referred to the Drug Control Department for further queries.
