VIDEO: Gas station serves free fuel to celebrate election of Aoun as president
The owners of a petrol station in Australia (Punchbowl Servo) were giving away free fuel at lunchtime on Wednesday to celebrate the recent election of Michel Aoun as president of Lebanon. The offer was valid for almost 30 minutes and lucky motorists got to refill their cars for free.
 
The servo, on the corner of Punchbowl Road and Dudley Street, had a queue as far as the eye could see as crafty consumers waited for their free fuel.
 
Lebanon's last head of state, Michel Suleiman, stepped down in 2014 and the country had been president-free until Aoun was elected on Monday October 31.
