Yesterday Donald Trump met with President Obama in the White House (his future home).
 
The two gave positive feedback on their meeting – Obama called it ‘excellent’ and ‘wide-ranging’, while Trump said the two had ‘great chemistry’.
 
But according to a body language expert, their facial expressions and hand movements told a very different story – and it’s super awkward.
 
Although it was all smiles and compliments on the day, Patti Wood, a body language expert and books writer could see the cracks on the surface.
 
 
 
The expert said that ‘Obama was extremely fatigued, resigned and not hopeful.’
 
But Wood noted that it was all a game of the ‘alpha male’ – and Obama won by resting his legs further apart than Trump’s.
 
And if you look at the president-elect’s hands, they’re in the ‘downward prayer position’, which means he’s being ‘tentative’.
 
 

But in spite of them both appearing pretty relaxed, the expert pointed that Obama couldn’t hide the fact he’s not completely self-assured with America’s choice.
 
Wood said Obama resting his arms on his legs is a sign of feeling ‘weary’.
 
During Obama’s statement, he said he was ‘encouraged’ by Trump’s enthusiasm to take on the challenges the country faces.
 
But Wood said his eyes conveyed the opposite.
 
‘There is a part where he says he has been encouraged. As he says it he closes his eyes. I call that an eye block. That tells me he doesn’t feel totally encouraged,’ she said.
And when Trump clasped his hands together it meant he was trying to ‘comfort himself’.
