REPORT: Survey says 66% of Lebanese satisfied with Hariri’s nomination as PM-designate
Newly elected President Michel Aoun named last week Future Movement head MP Saad Hariri to form a new government.
This nomination apparently garnered the approval of the majority of the Lebanese people too.
According to a survey conducted by Ipsos, 66% of the Lebanese people approve Hariri’s nomination, while 34% of them do not agree on it.
The distribution of votes among sects was as follows:
81% of Christians are satisfied with the nomination.
63% of Sunnites are satisfied with the nomination.
60% of Druzes are satisfied with the nomination.
As for the Shiites, 52% of them do not agree on the nomination.
