REPORT: Judge Hammoud to LBCI: Pulmonary clot is behind death of Farah Qassab

State Prosecutor Judge Samir Hammoud told LBCI on Friday that the reason behind the death of Iraqi national Farah Qassab is pulmonary clot.

This as Hammoud had earlier revealed during a phone call with the state-run National News Agency that the autopsy of Farah Qassab showed that the reason behind her death is a brain stroke.

The agency then corrected the news and said that Judge Hammoud has asserted that the reason of death is a pulmonary clot.

Hammoud also noted that investigations are still ongoing to reveal the reason behind the stroke and whether it could have been avoided.

He concluded by saying that the Public Prosecution is awaiting another report that will be issued by the Order of Physicians.

Investigations into the death of the Iraqi national Farah Qassab inside a beauty clinic in the region of Naccache during a plastic surgery performed by renowned plastic surgeon Nader Saab continued.

Dr. Saab says that Qassab arrived alive to the Notre Dame hospital in Jounieh while the hospital denies such statement and says that Farah arrived dead.
