Employees at Sidon’s governmental hospital staged Tuesday a sit-in in the facility’s yard, calling on the concerned officials, including deputies of Sidon and the ministers of health and finance, to resolve their situation that has been neglected for a long period of time and has been affecting their living conditions.
The committee following up on the case issued a statement whereby it said that “due to the deteriorating financial conditions of the hospital, the committee is no longer able to care for the patients and provide them with food and medications as well as other medical assistance.”
