Israel says “to use all its strength” in next war with Lebanon
The chief of the Israeli air force Major-General Amir Eshel said on Wednesday that Israel would use all its strength from the start in any new war with Hezbollah.
His remarks were made during a press conference near Tel Aviv whereby he said that improvements were done in the air force since the 2006 Lebanon war which means it could carry out in just two or three days the same number of bombings it mounted in those 34 days of fighting.
"If war breaks out in the north, we have to use all our strength from the start," he said, noting to the possibility of putting International pressure for a fast ceasefire before Israel can achieve all its goals.
He advised residents of South Lebanon to leave their houses in case a new war breaks out, saying that Hezbollah “takes from the houses of the civilians a base to launch rockets and missiles.”
