Al-Assir to LBCI: I hope Lebanese kidnapped return safely to Lebanon as soon as possible
Imam of the Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque, Sheikh Ahmad al-Assir, hoped on Saturday that the Lebanese kidnapped would return safely to their country as soon as possible, noting that this act is condemned, no matter which party committed it. He also warned the Syrian opposition in case it was behind the kidnapping of the Lebanese pilgrims.

Al-Assir told “Nharkom Saiid” TV show that the speech of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was calm, adding that he is against arms and that the resistance’s arms should be tabled for dialogue.

Al-Assir said that he is against any kind of armament, whether it was in Tripoli, Akkar, Tariq al-Jdideh, Sidon or Dahieh, calling on the government to monopolize the weapons. “When the resistance party owns weapons, it creates an inferiority complex to other parties, especially that these weapons were not used only to fight Israel”, he said.
