Rai supports national dialogue, hopes for Lebanese Spring

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai held Pentecost mass Sunday at the Patriarchate, whereby he shored up the President's invitation for all Lebanese political factions to congregate around a national dialogue table upcoming June.

"We hope that it leads to a new national pact that would take the country into a Lebanese Spring, which is much needed by the sought-after Arab Spring," said Rai.

He asserted that Lebanon, with all its components, played a pivotal role in the stability of the entire region of the Middle East.
