Aoun says Lebanese in Central African Republic are confident that they are protected

President Michel Aoun held a joint press conference with President of Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadéra at the Baabda Palace, where he stressed Lebanon’s support for the stability and security at the African state.

During the meeting, agreement was reached over boosting bilateral relations on all levels, while economic, technological, commercial and cultural agreements will be signed.

 

Aoun said that the Lebanese expatriates in Central African Republic are confident that their interests and themselves are protected, adding that they are enjoying their rights granted in accordance with the laws in force.

 

For his part, Touadéra said that he came to offer his country’s cooperation, noting that he expressed during his meeting with his Lebanese counterpart his wishes to strengthen the bilateral relations in terms of fighting terrorism.

 

The parties also tackled the security issue and its effect on Lebanon.
