Hajj Hassan to LBCI: The economy is industry, agriculture and tourism

Industry Minister Hussein Hajj Hassan stressed Friday that the Lebanese state does not give enough attention to the sectors of economy and industry, noting that “a complete economic vision is a necessity and the reason for its lacking is the different points of view for the concept of this vision.”

In an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Hajj Hassan pointed out that “for him, the economy is composed of industry, agriculture and tourism,” adding that oil is not enough to solve the economic crisis.

Regarding the exports, the minister explained that the true problem lies in the imposed restrictions, as well as the high cost charges in Lebanon in comparison with a small market.

He also hoped that all the issued will be resolved in the New Year, stating that “the people must remain optimistic and the officials must continue working to resolve the crises.”
