During a previous era, Lebanon had what was known as the Ministry of Housing and Cooperatives, which was in charge of the housing affairs.
Later, this ministry was eliminated, and the housing affairs were added to the tasks of the Ministry of Social Affairs, while the cooperatives were added to the tasks of the Agriculture Ministry, given that most of the cooperatives were related agriculture, while the others are related to housing.
