Interior and Municipalities Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq expressed on Wednesday to his Saudi counterpart, Interior Minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, "the Lebanese people's satisfaction vis-à-vis the atmosphere that accompanied Prime Minister Saad Hariri's visit to Riyadh last week."
For his part, Prince Abdul Aziz reiterated his invitation to al-Mashnouq to visit Saudi Arabia end of March. During a meeting held at the temporary residence of the Saudi Minister in Algeria, where the 35th session of conference of Arab interior ministers takes place, the Lebanese minister discussed the preparations underway for "Rome II" conference. He also highlighted the importance of having the kingdom voice support to the legitimate security and military forces in Lebanon. On another level, al-Mashnouq met with Iraqi Interior Minister Qassem Al-Araji and discussed with him security coordination between the two countries, especially in the field of combating terrorism and exchanging information. He then met with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani and discussed him the latest developments in the region, and Lebanon's needs in the context of combating terrorism.
