The expatriates’ elections overseas ended in its second phase with an overall voter turnout of 59% on Friday and Sunday.
The expatriates, who registered to vote in their country of residence for the first time in Lebanon’s history, were distributed among 6 Arab states and 33 foreign states.
In the Arab states, the voter turnout reached 65.67%, where 8284 voters out of 12615 registered voters.
In Australia, the voter turnout reached 58%, where 6829 out of 11826 registered Lebanese nationals voted.
In Europe, where the elections were distributed among 12 countries, the voter turnout reached 59.50%.
In Africa, a voter turnout of 68% of the registered voters cast their ballots in 11 countries.
In Latin America, the voter turnout reached 45% and the elections were held in 6 states.
In Northern America, 50% voted in Canada and 51% voted in the USA.
