Five ballot boxes arrive to Lebanon coming from Venezuela, Argentina

Five ballot boxes arrived on Tuesday at the Beirut International Airport on board of a plane.

Four boxes arrived from Venezuela and another came from Argentina.

The boxes were accompanied by Lebanese ambassador to Venezuela Elias Farah and Lebanese ambassador to Argentina Johnny Ibrahim.

They were handed over to the representative of Foreign Affairs Ministry and head of expatriates’ affairs ambassador Farah Berri, and that in the presence of members of the European Union Election Observation Mission.

Lebanese living abroad went to the polls on Friday April 27 and Sunday April 29 to vote in Lebanon's general election, the first time expats have been allowed to cast take part.
