Assir: Hezbollah, Amal act like Pharaohs because they possess weapons

Sheikh Ahmad Assir, Imam of the Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque in Sidon, regretted on Saturday that the media is not fulfilling its duty, noting that he is disappointed with the daily threats of sectarian war.

Assir revealed to Nharkom Said TV show that some army officers in Sidon act under the orders of a certain party, noting that “Hezbollah and Amal Movement are acting like Pharaohs because they have weapons in their hands”.

Sheikh Assir said that if the situation remains unchanged, he will haunt their nights, stressing that the national dialogue is “a waste of time”.

Assir confirmed that March 14 leaders cannot prompt Hezbollah to hand over its arms; "March 14 youths are rather the ones able to do so".
