Patriarch Rai: International community must pressure Israel to implement International resolutions

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai condemned on Wednesday the violence carried out by the Israeli army against the protesters in Gaza that killed several people and injured others.

Rai conveyed his condolences to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, to the families of the victims and to the civil and religious Palestinian leaderships.

He also called on the International community to put pressure on Israel to implement the International resolutions issued by the Security Council related to Jerusalem.

“We also call for the lifting of the blockade imposed on 2 million Gaza residents,” he added.
